Lead the 3D art team, ensuring we delivered high-quality assets that met the stakeholders’ requirements and the studio’s standards.
Collaborate with the Project Manager and Art Director to define the project’s scope and goals, as well as the resources required to deliver it.
Work on and share 3D modeling & texturing workload with the 3D art team and monitor their progress to ensure work is of a high standard and deadlines are met.
Provide feedback and guidance to 3D artists to improve the quality of their work and develop their skills.
Identify potential issues and risks early in the project lifecycle and take steps to mitigate them.
Ensure that 3D assets are optimized and meet technical specifications, such as file size and polygon count.
Keep up-to-date with new techniques and technologies in the 3D industry and actively share this knowledge with the team.
Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, and addressing any technical concerns or questions they may have.
Requirements
3+ years of professional experience in the game development industry as a Senior, Lead, or higher-grade artist role in the game industry.
Excellent leadership skills and ability to provide team members with clear direction, guidance, and feedback.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
A keen eye for detail and the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Expert knowledge & practical experience in Blender and Substance Painter. The ability to operate Maya and 3Ds Max is a bonus.
Strong technical art basics and experience interacting with game engines such as Unreal Engine and Unity.
Deep understanding of 3D asset optimization techniques and best practices for game development.
Passion for games and the drive to stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations.
Pluses:
Experience with procedural content creation tools, such as Blender Geometry Node, Houdini, and Substance Designer.
An active interest in the game development community, including attending events and participating in forums or online communities.
