About the role

Kemilau Makmur Sejahtera is seeking a passionate and driven Japanese Speaking Travel Consultant to join our dynamic team. This full-time role will be based in our Menteng Jakarta office, where you will play a key part in providing high-quality travel planning and booking services to our domestic and international clients especially to Japan.

What you'll be doing

• Providing exceptional customer service to our domestic and international clients, understanding their travel needs and preferences
• Researching and curating bespoke travel itineraries that exceed client expectations
• Booking tickets, accommodations, and other travel arrangements efficiently and cost-effectively
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of travel destinations, tourism trends, and industry regulations
• Handling client queries, changes, and complaints in a prompt and professional manner
• Contributing to the overall success of the travel agency through sales, marketing, and team collaboration

What we're looking for

• Fluency in both English and Japanese (minimum N3 JLPT), with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar travel consultant role
• Strong understanding of the travel industry in Japan, including destinations, accommodation options, and transportation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver exceptional client experiences
• Excellent problem-solving, time management, and organisational skills
• Passion for travel and a genuine desire to help clients plan their dream holidays
