The Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta is located in the Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD), one of the most prestigious areas of Jakarta, Indonesia. Open since July 2016, Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta provides a preferred address for both business and leisure travelers, and the highly personalized, anticipatory service that Four Seasons guests expect and value around the world. The hotel offers a range of rooms and suites designed with a blend of modern luxury and Indonesian culture. These accommodations are equipped with top-notch amenities and offer cityscape views. About the role:

The Italian Chef de Cuisine – casual dining yet elegance plays a pivotal role in the culinary leadership of our luxury culinary team, contributing to both strategic and operational decisions.

The position oversees Alto (Italian Restaurant) culinary operations, ensuring exceptional quality and innovative dining experiences that reflect Four Seasons’ commitment to excellence.

Prepare and cook authentic Italian dishes. Create and follow standardized recipes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Plan and develop new menu items incorporating seasonal ingredients.

Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in the preparation and presentation of Italian cuisine. Foster a positive work environment by encouraging teamwork, creativity, and a passion for culinary arts.

What you will do:

The Chef de Cuisine's primary responsibility is to deliver outstanding food quality and service while mentoring and developing the culinary team through an inspirational and inclusive leadership approach. Collaboration with the Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager is essential to create and implement innovative culinary concepts, manage budgets, and uphold the highest standards of service and hygiene.

The Italian Chef de Cuisine will ensure the appropriate and accurate requisition of special ingredients, coordinate labor support, and ensure a warm and seamless welcome to our guests in partnership with the Executive Chef.

What you bring:

A Hospitality Management Degree is preferred, however not mandatory, with relevant experience in Leadership Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced certifications or diplomas in culinary arts, food and beverage management/admin, food safety certification, or related areas are considered ideal.

Minimum 3-5 years in a culinary management role. Proven experience in luxury hospitality.

Strong communication skills and proficiency in English are essential. Familiarity with food and beverage operational systems is a must. Michelin Star restaurant or hotel experience is considered ideal.
