IT System Engineer (MS Windows OS / MS365 / Cyber Security)

This IT System Engineer (Senior / Level 3) role is ideal for individuals with at least 5 years of experience in Information Technology, particularly with Microsoft 365 and cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and configure Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate complex issues within the Microsoft 365 suite.
• Monitor usage and performance to ensure optimal performance of cloud services.
• Perform migrations and upgrades to Microsoft 365 services.

Cybersecurity Management:

• Implement, configure, and maintain security measures to protect cloud environments and Microsoft 365 services.
• Manage identity and access management (IAM), including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Azure AD Conditional Access policies.
• Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks in the cloud environment.
• Provide incident response support for cybersecurity threats and issues.

Policy and Compliance:

• Define, implement, and manage security policies and procedures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Ensure the organization meets compliance requirements for data protection and security standards.

Automation & Optimization:

• Automate repetitive administrative tasks using PowerShell, Azure Automation, or other tools.
• Optimize Microsoft 365 environments for cost and performance efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Microsoft 365 and cybersecurity solutions into broader IT infrastructure.
• Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and end-users on best practices for cloud services and cybersecurity.

About You

• Fluent in English (both spoken and written) at a business level.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in IT or related fields.
• Deep Expertise in Microsoft 365: Extensive experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Cybersecurity Proficiency: Familiar with the latest cybersecurity threats and best practices, including IAM, MFA, and vulnerability assessments.
• Problem Solver: Skilled at diagnosing complex issues and ensuring secure and compliant cloud environments.
• Automation Skills: Experienced in using tools like PowerShell and Azure Automation for administrative task optimization.
• Collaborative and Mentorship-Oriented: Effective at working with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.

Essential Qualifications and Expertise

Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in IT, with a focus on cloud-based systems (particularly Microsoft 365) and cybersecurity.

Technical Skills:

• Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Experience with Azure Active Directory, IAM, and MFA.
• Proficiency in PowerShell for task automation and administration.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including risk management, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.

Certifications:

• Relevant certifications such as:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
