About The Role

IT Support Officer is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing an organization's IT systems and infrastructure. This role ensures that hardware, software, networks, and other technology function smoothly, minimizing disruptions and enabling users to work efficiently.


Responsibilities

  1. Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners
  2. Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure optimal performance
  3. Respond promptly to service issues and support requests
  4. Provide technical support to staff across the company, both in person and remotely
  5. Set up accounts for new users and manage access permissions
  6. Repair and replace equipment as necessary
  7. Test and evaluate new technologies for implementation
  8. Potentially train junior staff in IT support tasks

Requirements

  1. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  2. 1-2 years of experience as an IT Support Specialist
  3. Strong ability to provide technical support and resolve user queries
  4. In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems
  5. Ability to assess IT needs and train end-users effectively
  6. Proficiency in IT helpdesk software, such as Freshservice and SysAid
  7. Experience documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics
  8. Advanced knowledge of database maintenance and system security
  9. Ability to stay current with technical innovations and trends in IT support
  10. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  11. Willing to travel for a business trip to all branches
