JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the execution, settlement, and reconciliation of trades across multiple asset classes.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of investment transactions including NAV valuation.
- Monitor, manage, and maintain investment data integrity within various systems and databases ensuring accuracy and consistency across all platforms.
- Responsible for and key contact in the implementation and optimization of investment systems and technologies.
- Maintain accurate portfolio records and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts.
- Generate reports on portfolio performance, risk exposure, and operational metrics.
- Work with custodians, fund managers, and counterparties for seamless operations.
- Maintain and update legal documents such as agreements and its addendum with third parties to comply with current practices.
Collaboration and Execution:
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate execution of investment transactions, resolving any issues that may arise along the way.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of investment processes to identify and rectify discrepancies or inefficiencies, implementing process enhancements as necessary to optimize operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to investment operations.
- Lead and mentor investment operations staff.
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:
- Ensure adherence to investment guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Monitor operational risks and implement controls to mitigate them.
- Responsible for audits of investment processes and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of submission data/documents for audit.
- Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of submission for regulatory reporting.
Requirements:
- University degree (S1 in either Business, Economics, Accounting or Financial Management).
- Min. 3 years working experience in insurance-related investments or in asset management companies.
- Strong focus on either trade execution, operations, finance and/or data and analytics.
- Passion for excellence and an eye for detail.
- Ability to drive process and reporting improvements and to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing priorities, challenges, and deadlines.
- Strong analytical, leadership skills, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of and understanding of financial instruments, trade settlements, and regulatory frameworks.
- A strong team player with excellent interpersonal, communications, and analytical skills, who is keen to learn, support and contribute to the team’s mandate.
- Self-starter with strong initiative, who is hands-on and comfortable managing multiple tasks, confident to engage different stakeholders, and can work independently to deliver outcomes.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, in particular MS Excel is a must.
- Wakil Manajer Investasi (WMI) license holder/exam passer or CFA Charterholder is a plus.
Decision Authorities:
- Complex products and derivatives infrastructure; constant need for monitoring, efficiencies, and improvement.
- Identify complex issues and find solutions to solve the problem on their own.
Key Shared Accountabilities:
- Fund management strategy – follow the investment mandates, alignment of individual portfolios with broader investment objectives and strategies.
- Risk and Regulatory review – ensure no investments are made outside the approved names based on risk and regulatory review, risk assessment and risk mitigation are integrated into investment decisions, adherence to risk guidelines and regulatory compliance.
- Project Management – ensure good collaboration with global, regional, and local teams to make the project successfully implemented, changes are adapted well within the team and relevant parties.
- Investment Operation on reporting and monitoring; assisting in client interactions by providing information and addressing inquiries and concerns.
