Instrument Engineer

The Instrument Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and calibration of field instruments, troubleshooting industrial instrumentation systems, and maintaining equipment used to monitor and control engineering systems and processes. You will work with a range of equipment such as sensors, meters, transmitters, and control valves to ensure accurate measurement and control of processes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation systems.
• Provide support and technical advice to customers.
• Supervise the installation of instrumentation and control systems to ensure they are installed according to design specifications.
• Conduct calibration of instruments using standard procedures.
• Conduct system checks and testing to ensure that all equipment and systems are functioning correctly before full-scale operation begins.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with instrumentation.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including design documents and test results.
• Work closely with sales, proposal engineers, and other professionals to ensure cohesive operation and integration of systems.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in instrumentation.
• Understanding of various sensors, controllers, transmitters, and other instrumentation equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work in industrial environments.
• Willingness to travel to different sites as required by projects.
