Inspector Scaffolding

Responsibilities:

1. Report to HT Executive Scaff/Manager/HOD and ensure proper inspection of scaffolding activities, towers etc upon erection and weekly inspection prior to putting OK tag.

2. Maintain proper inspection records and reports as per yard standards and as requested by the HOD.

3. Ensure that all scaffolding meets the PE drawings requirements.

4. Assign daily inspections of 3-4 vessels as per the requirements.

5. Control all OK tags, check list cards, and other scaffolding inspection records/data.

6. Ensure that all activities are covered under the risk assessment and all RA have been addressed, with control measures in place to avoid any incidents.

7. Follow the NOVADE (PTW) system.

8. Focus on making improvements in scaffolding activities performed in the yard and minimize material wastage.

9. Maintain timekeeping on work site and housekeeping in and around scaffolding areas.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Diploma, Graduation in any discipline or SMA/SMK.

2. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Scaffolding Inspector.

3. Must be a qualified scaffolding inspector (minimum K3).

4. Good communication skills in written and spoken English.

5. Essential computer skills.

6. Fully conversant with scaffolding standards for shipyard, marine, and offshore vessels.

7. Able to understand and estimate loads on the scaffolding structure.

8. Able to plan and control scaffolding inspection-related activities on a minimum of 5 vessels and coordinate with different subcontractors while supervising/control jobs as per the given plan/schedule.

9. Able to communicate effectively with owner representatives, clients, project managers, and paint representatives if needed.
