Our client is a forward-thinking software company specializing in leveraging the power of WhatsApp to revolutionize marketing for e-commerce businesses. Their cutting-edge AI-driven platform is designed to help businesses maximize cross-border operations by enhancing customer engagement and boosting sales.

Job Summary:

This role is pivotal in establishing our client's presence as a dominant force in WhatsApp marketing for cross-border e-commerce companies. We are seeking an experienced and well-connected Senior Business Development / Sales Manager to lead our growth in Indonesia. The ideal candidate will have a robust network within the e-commerce and tech ecosystem and ideally a proven track record of sales and business development in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership
    • Be the CEO of Connectly Indonesia and work directly with the CCO to develop and execute the strategy locally.
    • Understand the competitive landscape and market trends to effectively position our WhatsApp marketing solutions.
    • Collaborate with product and marketing teams to tailor our offering to meet the specific needs of the Chinese market.
    • Provide insights to the product development team on local market needs and customer feedback.
  2. Sales / Business Development Leadership
    • Manage our sales team locally and identify and develop new business opportunities.
    • Establish strong relationships with key decision-makers in the e-commerce sector and within the digital marketing ecosystem.
    • Lead negotiations and close deals with large e-commerce players to achieve sales targets.
    • Represent Connectly.ai at industry events, conferences, and networking gatherings to enhance brand visibility and develop strategic partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in Business, Marketing, or related field. Masters degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in consulting and/or business development or sales roles, preferably with at least 2 years focused related to the e-commerce or tech industry.
  • Strong network and connections within Indonesia's e-commerce ecosystem.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close deals with high-profile clients.
  • Fluent in Indonesian and English, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, with a drive to succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Optional but a strong plus: Familiarity with digital marketing channels, particularly as they pertain to e-commerce and ideally with WhatsApp itself.
