IMPORT AND SOURCING COORDINATOR

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Import and Sourcing Coordinator to join our dynamic team at PT Saniharto Enggalhardjo Semarang. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for coordinating the import and sourcing processes for our company, ensuring efficient and compliant operations at our Sayung, Central Java location.

What you'll be doing

1. Developing and implementing efficient import and export strategies to support the company’s business objectives.
2. Managing the end-to-end import processes including custom clearance, documentation, shipment coordination.
3. Managing and dealing with import activities including preparation, processing, licensing and analyzing lead time and cost of the processes.
4. Ensuring compliance with all applicable trade regulations, laws and company policies.
5. Identifying and mitigating potential risks and bottlenecks in import issues.
6. Reviewing paperwork and documents to ensure all charges and custom costs are billed correctly.
7. Maintaining a database for import shipment and direct report to management.
8. Processing claims on import issues.
9. Handling all reports to relevant government agencies related to import, licenses and facilities.
10. Staying up to date with industry trends, regulations and best practices.
11. Supporting the purchasing team by doing global sourcing for goods needed for production by conducting online research and contacting various vendors.
12. Processing the purchase with the vendors, managing their lead time and arranging the shipment and import to our factory.

What we're looking for

1. Maximum age is 35 years old.
2. A bachelor degree in any major is welcome.
3. A fresh graduate is not welcome.
4. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an import coordinator preferably in the furniture industry.
5. Has firsthand experience of applying for import licenses with the relevant government agencies preferably for fabrics.
6. Has firsthand experience of managing import from the origin location to the final destination in Indonesia and handling everything in between including the shipment and paperwork/documentation.
7. Fluent in English both speaking and writing.
8. Has great communication skills.
9. Able to work under pressure and good at problem solving.
10. Proactive, meticulous, fast working, detail oriented.

Selected candidates will be invited to do a test and interview at our factory in Sayung.
