Job description

The Impact Manager will lead and oversee various programs focused on driving Free The Sea social and environmental impact. The role involves managing diverse initiatives, such as impact distribution, scholarship programs, coastal cleanup efforts, infrastructure projects and partnership development. We are looking for a hands-on professional and a natural entrepreneur who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty—because making an impact in Free The Sea means being on the ground and driving real change.

Responsibility:

  • Design, implement, and monitor education programs aimed at providing educational opportunities to Free The Sea Waste Collection Ecosystem members, other projects related to FTS positive aimed at environmental regeneration – such as coral reef.
  • Develop and execute awareness campaigns to educate stakeholders on sustainability and community development initiatives, nurture strategic partnerships with organizations, donors, and sponsors to secure funding for impact programs in Indonesia and Singapore.
  • Collaborate with educational institutions and NGOs to maximize the impact of education and awareness programs, other projects related to FTS positive aimed at environmental regeneration – such as coral reef.
  • Lead coastal cleanup initiatives to increase awareness and promote ecosystem restoration.
  • Oversee mangrove plantation and conservation project, ensuring effective implementation and long-term sustainability.
  • Manage and execute the Pulau Buluh project, coordinating resources and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Build strong relationships with local communities and authorities to support project implementation.
  • Drive infrastructure development projects, including renovation and improvements of collection point infrastructure within Free The Sea Waste Collection Ecosystem.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, social work, business administration, or related fields (master’s degree preferred).
  • More than 5 years of experience in program management, community development, or sustainability projects.
  • Proven experience in fundraising, building partnerships with diverse stakeholders. managerial skills, problem-solving and decision making.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver results within tight deadlines, passion for sustainability, education, and making a positive impact on society and the environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with communities, partners, and team members, proficiency in data analysis and impact reporting, team player and collaboration.
