Job Purpose

The Indonesia Supply Chain Director leads and manages end-to-end supply chain operations within a specific country, driving strategic initiatives to optimize supply chain efficiency, minimize costs, and maximize customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Planning:
    1. Develop and execute the country's supply chain strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives.
    2. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency.
    3. Conduct regular reviews of supply chain performance and adjust strategies as needed.
  2. Supply Chain Operations:
    1. Oversee all aspects of the supply chain, focusing on inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and distribution, with indirect responsibility for procurement and manufacturing.
    2. Manage relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and other key stakeholders.
    3. Implement robust inventory management systems to optimize stock levels and minimize holding costs.
    4. Monitor and control supply chain costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
  3. Customer Service:
    1. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers, meeting or exceeding service level agreements.
    2. Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve any supply chain-related issues.
    3. Implement effective demand planning processes to anticipate customer needs and optimize resource allocation.
  4. Lead and develop a high-performing team of supply chain professionals.
  5. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
  6. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
  7. Represent the E2E Supply Chain in Leadership Team meetings and partner with Indonesia Ice Cream GM and the rest of the IC Indonesia Cross-Functional Leadership Team.
  8. Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks, such as disruptions, natural disasters, and geopolitical events.
  9. Develop contingency plans to minimize the impact of disruptions on the business.
  10. Compliance and Sustainability:
    1. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs, import/export, and environmental regulations.
    2. Promote sustainable practices within the supply chain, such as reducing waste and minimizing carbon emissions.

Candidate Criteria

Experience & Qualification

  1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Advanced degree (MBA or master's in supply chain) preferred.
  3. 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in a multinational company.
  4. Proven track record in leading and managing supply chain teams.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Proficiency in supply chain management software and systems.
  8. Deep understanding of local market and regulatory environment.
  9. Industry-Specific Knowledge: Experience in specific industry (e.g., consumer goods, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals) is highly desirable.
  10. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with teams across different functions, such as sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
  11. Global Perspective: Understanding of global supply chain trends and best practices.
  12. Change Management: Ability to drive change and implement new processes and technologies.
  13. A local Indonesian candidate is preferred for this role.
