Position Overview:
The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs to support our school's mission and objectives. This role requires a proactive leader with experience in building HR functions from the ground up, as well as expertise in managing expatriate employees and ensuring compliance with labor laws. Additionally, the HR Manager will serve as the Company Secretary, overseeing legal and compliance matters.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
- Provide counseling on policies and procedures.
- Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads, and managing the hiring process.
- Create and implement effective onboarding plans.
- Assist in performance management processes.
- Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues.
- Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data, etc.) according to policy and legal requirements.
- Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
- Assist in the employees' payroll process.
- Act as Company Secretary, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and corporate governance standards.
- Provide expert advice on legal matters and compliance issues affecting the school.
-Willingness to travel for business trips as required.
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as an HR officer, administrator, or in another HR position for a minimum of 6 - 10 years,preferably from a similar or related background.
- Knowledge of HR functions (making policies, setting up departments from scratch, pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, compensation, organizational planning, and compliance.
- Proficient in MS Office.
