Job description

HR Compliance & Industrial Relations Specialist

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage Employee Relations: Act as a mediator between employees and management to resolve conflicts and grievances, ensuring that disputes are handled in a timely and professional manner.
  2. Conduct Investigations: Investigate employee complaints and misconducts, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal regulations.
  3. Negotiation with Unions: Negotiate collective bargaining agreements, if applicable, and ensure compliance with union contracts.
  4. Advise Management: Provide advice and support to management on matters related to employee relations, including handling sensitive issues such as disciplinary actions or termination.
  5. Ensure Legal Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with local, state, and labor laws and regulations.
  6. Policy Development: Develop, implement, and review HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
  7. Audit & Reporting: Conduct audits and prepare reports to ensure that the organization is complying with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  8. Training and Education: Provide training to HR and management on compliance-related issues, including best practices for maintaining a legally compliant workplace.
  9. Stay Current on Labor Laws: Regularly research and update the organization on changes in employment laws and regulations.
  10. Advise on Legal Matters: Provide expert advice on legal matters related to workforce management, including employment contracts, wages, benefits, and terminations.
  11. Mediation and Dispute Resolution: Address and resolve conflicts between employees and management by facilitating discussions, mediating conflicts, and providing resolution strategies.
  12. Maintain Employee Morale: Work proactively to maintain positive relations between employees and management, focusing on employee engagement and satisfaction.
  13. Identify Compliance Risks: Monitor and identify potential areas of legal risk within HR practices and recommend actions to mitigate them.
  14. Handle Legal Challenges: Act as the point of contact for external parties (e.g., regulatory agencies or attorneys) in case of legal challenges, disputes, or investigations.
  15. Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure accurate documentation of employee relations cases, disciplinary actions, and union negotiations.
  16. Document Compliance Efforts: Keep records of compliance initiatives, audits, and training to demonstrate the organization’s commitment to following legal requirements.
  17. Communicate Compliance Issues: Report to senior management on compliance trends, potential risks, and issues related to industrial relations.
  18. Prepare Legal Documents: Assist with the preparation of legal documents related to employment disputes, such as termination letters, settlement agreements, and contract renewals.
  19. Promote Fair Treatment: Advocate for fair treatment of employees and ensure the organization's policies are applied consistently and transparently.
  20. Ensure Equal Opportunity: Promote an inclusive work environment by ensuring adherence to anti-discrimination laws and promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  21. Align with Business Strategy: Work closely with senior management to align HR practices, employee relations strategies, and compliance with the overall business goals.
  22. Support Change Management: Assist in implementing changes within the organization while ensuring compliance with labor laws and maintaining good industrial relations.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum Bachelor's degree in Law.
  2. Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
  3. Minimum of 3 years of work experience in HR.
  4. Excellent knowledge of labor law and regulation.
  5. Deep understanding of Industrial Relations, PKB (Collective Labor Agreement/Perjanjian Kerja Bersama), Labor Law and labor union.
  6. Leadership skills and good analytical thinking.
  7. Team player, able to work under pressure and fast.
  8. Communicative, supple, thorough, and have a strong principle.
