Full time

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the property. They oversee all aspects of the business, from guest services to financial performance. The COO works closely with the General Manager (GM) to ensure that the hotel meets its goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the business unit's budget and financial performance.
  • Monitor revenue and expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving measures.

Operations Management:

  • Manage all departments within the hotel and beach, including housekeeping, front desk, food and beverage, and maintenance.
  • Ensure that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.

Guest Satisfaction:

  • Ensure that the business units provides exceptional guest service.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction levels and address any complaints or issues promptly.
  • Develop and implement programs to enhance the guest experience.

Human Resources:

  • Recruit, hire, and train.
  • Manage employee performance and address any disciplinary issues.
  • Ensure that the hotel complies with all labor laws and regulations.

Sales and Marketing:

  • Work with the sales and marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing strategies.
  • Manage the business units online reputation and ensure positive reviews.

Property Management:

  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the hotel property.
  • Ensure that the hotel is in compliance with all safety and building codes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel management, preferably at a senior level.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, including guest services, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance.
