Key Responsibilities:

  1. Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
  2. Plan and conduct customer’s visits (Asia) for potential and existing customers
  3. Onsite technical support and problem solving related to Linatex hose product
  4. Identify and develop new opportunities in current and prospective accounts
  5. External negotiation to win orders and business
  6. Convince external parties who are skeptical or unwilling to accept new concepts or approaches
  7. Develop strong relationships with key customers to ensure expectations are being met and remedial action taken to address issues
  8. Use of Sales Force to capture sales opportunities
  9. Review customer specifications and develop complete technical and commercial proposals
  10. Ensure aftermarket personnel are adequately trained in the Linatex hose range of products and receive technical support as required
  11. Operate as a fully functioning member of the OE Sales Team actively contributing whenever necessary in addressing cross functional business issues
  12. Lean Enterprise: to drive improvement throughout the business to provide value to the customer through the elimination of waste.
  13. People: to engage Weir People to perform to the best of their ability for the customer and shareholder results and an environment where people want to work.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in mechanical, chemical, process engineering, or equivalent.
  2. Prior experience in a sales or business development type position.
  3. Experience with hose/piping products and/or minerals processing plant environment is desirable
  4. Proven ability to identify opportunities, formulate strategies, and achieve results.
  5. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members.
  6. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  7. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
  8. Experience with Salesforce is highly desirable
  9. Travelling: Frequent and at short notice, both interstate and international.
