About the Role

Head of Trade Marketing & Category at Tentang Anak will lead and develop strategies to drive growth across both General and Modern Trade channels. This role required the ability to create effective retail marketing strategies to boosts product visibility and consumer interest.

This position requires an expert in trade marketing who has experience managing sales with IDR up to 100 billion rupiah value per month. The successful candidate will develop targeted trade marketing plans and oversee category management to maximize reach, market share, and sales performance.

Job Description

Trade Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Collaborate with sales, brand, and commercial teams to plan and execute promotions, product launches, and seasonal campaigns in both General and Modern Trade channels.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of trade marketing initiatives, adjusting strategies to ensure maximum ROI.

Category Management

  • Lead category management efforts to ensure optimal assortment, pricing, and placement across various retail formats.
  • Develop category strategies and actionable plans based on data analysis and consumer insights to drive category growth and shelf presence.
  • Partner with key retail and channel stakeholders to drive joint business planning initiatives, ensuring alignment on category goals and objectives.

Channel Expertise

  • Leverage a deep understanding for all channel (GT/MT/Individual Reseller/Medical Channel) to tailor trade marketing and category management approaches specific to each channel.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities for market expansion, ensuring competitiveness within each channel.

Budget Management & Optimization

  • Oversee and manage trade marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize sales impact and profitability.
  • Conduct regular budget reviews and adjust spend according to performance insights and market needs.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of trade marketing and category management professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Encourage continuous learning and professional development to enhance team capabilities and maintain competitive edge.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience, with a proven track record in both General Trade and Modern Trade preferably in FMCG or consumer goods sectors.
  • Comprehensive experience across various sales channels, including offline (modern trade, general trade, and distributor management). The ideal candidate should also have a strong background in trade marketing, sales capability development, and a proven track record of driving growth.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing business operations and budgets up to IDR 100 billion per month.
  • Demonstrated success in growing sales, meeting targets, and driving profitability
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret market and sales data to drive strategic decisions.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Indonesian FMCG market, including key retailers, channel dynamics, and market trends.
