Job description

One of Bali’s leading tourist venues is searching for a Head of Safety & Security to join their team immediately.

The ideal candidate should be a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in safety and security management, particularly in hospitality or tourism environments. They should possess a comprehensive understanding of risk management, emergency response procedures, and security systems, with the ability to ensure the safety and well-being of both guests and staff in a sustainable and eco-conscious setting. The candidate must be an effective leader, capable of developing and implementing safety protocols, conducting training programs, and overseeing day-to-day security operations.

Requirements:

  • Open for local candidates.
  • Minimum of five years in a security management role, with a strong preference for experience in hospitality, entertainment, or a similar high-traffic environment.
  • Skilled in creating and executing security plans.
  • Proficient in security systems, including surveillance and access control.
  • Familiar with security monitoring software and emergency systems.
  • Strong in team supervision, training, and crisis management.
  • Capable of making fast, sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety laws and regulations.
  • Experienced in fire safety, emergency preparedness, and reporting.
  • Clear communicator with staff, guests, and external authorities.
  • Builds strong relationships with emergency services and internal teams.
  • Skilled in risk assessments and addressing security issues.
  • Analytical thinker who continuously improves safety measures.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular security risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Implement and supervise the implementation of Standard Operation Procedures (SOP).
  • Report to the General Manager and coordinate with the relevant Division / Section within Management in the implementation of security tasks activities.
  • Supervise the implementation of security tasks undertaken by team members.
  • Conduct coaching and training to improve the discipline of all Security Members.
  • Plan and arrange security activities regularly to create a safe and dynamic atmosphere.
  • Organize and control all Security Members through their respective Security Supervisors.
  • Provide periodic reports to Management on the implementation of Security tasks and supervision of Security members.
  • Monitor the implementation of security activities in general.
  • Evaluate the performance of each Security Supervisor and all Security members.
  • Provide input to management to develop the security system in accordance with the established company vision and mission.
  • Delegate tasks to Security Supervisors for daily tasks and special assignments.
  • Organize reporting activities and data preparation for communication with Security members.
  • Coordinate with Regional Security Officers and local community leaders for regional security cooperation.
  • Take initial steps in solving problems in the field and report to the General Manager for further instructions.
  • Provide judgment and administrative actions to Security members who commit offenses.
  • Foster a proactive Security Team to handle any situation effectively.
  • Comply with job responsibilities and report unusual events in a timely manner.
  • Enforce policies and procedures to achieve high levels of uniformity and guest service.
  • Prevent unauthorized personnel from entering the park.
  • Manage disturbances caused by intoxicated individuals or those with mental health issues.
  • Conduct regular checks of major security and fire-prevention areas and master emergency handling procedures.
  • Understand responsibilities upon hearing the alarm.
  • Perform security work for VIPs.
  • Monitor traffic lanes during peak periods.
  • Check staff belongings daily.
  • Control major security areas.
  • Establish relationships with other departments.
  • Adhere to park regulations and maintain confidentiality in all work areas.
