My client is a family-owned mining company that owns its own smelter.
Job Description
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement government relations strategies and policies to promote and protect the company's interests.
Legislative Monitoring: Monitor legislative and regulatory activities, identify issues that may impact the company, and advise leadership on potential implications.
Lobbying: Advocate on behalf of the company to influence legislative and policy decisions.
Relationship Building: Establish and maintain relationships with government officials, regulatory agencies, and other relevant public sector bodies.
Compliance: Ensure the company's compliance with lobbying laws and regulations.
Reporting: Prepare reports and briefings on governmental matters for internal stakeholders.
Representation: Represent the company in meetings with government officials and other external stakeholders.
Crisis Management: Coordinate the company's response to governmental inquiries and audits.
Training: Provide guidance and training to staff on issues related to government relations.
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 20 years of work experience related to Forestry and Mining.
Solid network and relationships with at least the Director level from the Ministry of Environment & Forestry (Kementrian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan) is a must.
Candidates with prior work experience in a Mining company are considered an advantage.
Must demonstrate proven success stories with obtaining: AMDAL, IPPKH, FS, Rehabilitasi DAS.
