Job Description

• Handle corporate secretarial matters and manage the procurement and renewal of all necessary business, corporate and other licences and permits.
• Manage HR-related disputes, disputes with shippers and commercial litigation.
• Function head responsible for managing legal and regulatory matters in Philippines.
• Lead and develop legal team to deliver high quality legal services in a fast-paced environment and ensuring that legal advice is commercially-savvy and legally defensible.
• Design and implement country-level legal processes, policies and training relating to contract process compliance and mitigation of legal and regulatory risks.
• Advise on, negotiate and prepare commercial contracts, supplier contracts and tender bid responses.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Laws in Philippines laws from a leading university.
• 10 years or more experience from a legal department of a company and reputable law firm.
• Having these attributes would give the candidate an advantage:
• Experience working in the logistics or e-commerce industry or any other reputable startup.
• Knowledge about IT systems, cloud hosting and SaaS.
