Job description

Our client, a prominent multinational company, is seeking an experienced HRGA Head to lead their Human Resources and General Affairs functions. This strategic role requires a proactive leader with a strong background in HR management, including mass recruitment, expatriate processes, and a solid understanding of local compliance. Proficiency in Korean is a significant plus, as this role will involve regular communication with Korean stakeholders and may require translating between local employees and headquarters. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record of enhancing HRGA operations, driving employee engagement, and fostering a productive, compliant work environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and lead the HR and General Affairs (HRGA) functions, ensuring smooth operations across all HR processes, policies, and compliance.
  2. Develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational objectives, supporting business growth and employee engagement.
  3. Manage mass recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding large volumes of candidates within specified timelines.
  4. Supervise expatriate management processes, including visas, work permits, housing, and relocation services to ensure seamless transition and compliance.
  5. Spearhead employee relations initiatives, maintaining a positive work environment and handling employee grievances with confidentiality and professionalism.
  6. Develop and maintain efficient HRGA policies and procedures to enhance productivity and compliance with local labor laws.
  7. Handle the overall General Affairs functions, including office management, vendor relations, asset management, and facility maintenance.
  8. Collaborate with various departments to support business needs through HR data-driven insights, training, and development programs.
  9. Manage HR budget effectively, optimizing HRGA expenses while maintaining high-quality services and compliance standards.
  10. Act as a liaison between local employees and International headquarters, providing translation support when necessary and ensuring alignment in HR practices.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; at least 8-10 years of experience in HRGA, with proven experience in mass recruitment and expatriate management.
  2. Proficiency in English and Korean (preferred), both written and spoken, is a significant plus to facilitate communication with international stakeholders.
  3. Strong understanding of HRIS, local labor laws, expatriate regulations, and HR compliance requirements.
  4. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills; able to motivate and lead teams through complex projects.
  5. Have a self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving, capable of working independently and adapting to dynamic work environments.
  6. Experience working with a multicultural team, particularly familiarity with Korean business culture, is preferred.
  7. Highly organized with exceptional time management and project management abilities.
