We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Head of Legal & Compliance to join our in-house legal team. The successful candidate will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia to provide comprehensive legal support across various departments, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, and mitigating legal risks for our business in Green Mobility.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on various legal issues, including corporate, commercial, employment, and intellectual property law;
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements, including but not limited to NDAs, service agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, Shareholders Agreement, Co-Development Agreements and vendor contracts;
- Ensure the company's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including data protection and privacy laws;
- Assist with current ongoing M&A projects which includes review and drafting of various transaction documents, liaising with internal stakeholders and external counsel;
- Develop and update internal policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practices;
- Provide legal advice and support to various departments on a wide range of legal matters;
- Conduct training sessions for employees on legal topics, such as compliance, data protection, and contract management;
- Assist in engagement with regulators for license applications and approvals to ensure the business is fully compliant with local laws.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law or related from an accredited law school;
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department;
- Strong analytical and research skills, complemented by keen attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities;
- Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and remain solution-oriented;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in Bahasa Indonesia and English;
- Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite;
- Strong contract drafting, reviewing and negotiating skills;
- Exhibits high ethical standards and unwavering integrity;
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with different departments;
- Proactive, self-motivated, and responsible, with the ability to work independently without needing micromanagement.
