About The Opportunity

As a crucial member of the Discova Global Marketing team, the Graphic Designer & Video Editor plays a central role in injecting creativity and steadfast quality into our marketing materials. In this position, you will adeptly blend artistic innovation while adhering to the company standards to produce marketing collateral that not only aligns with the objectives of our regional team but also enhances and preserves the brand integrity of Discova.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Generate innovative and impactful design concepts for visual and print marketing collaterals, including videos and reels, advertisements, brochures, posters, leaflets, standees, exhibitions and displays, events, and corporate communications.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver designs that align with marketing objectives.
  3. Execute design tasks to a high standard, ensuring the visual appeal and effectiveness of the marketing materials.
  4. Guarantee consistency in image usage and brand identity throughout all creative artwork, adhering to established brand guidelines.
  5. Support in managing the quality of outsourced design tasks, ensuring they meet the company's standards and brand guidelines.
  6. Conduct thorough reviews to identify and rectify any discrepancies in design elements.
  7. Advise and support operations teams in the implementation of customer-facing materials, offering insights on design elements that enhance customer engagement.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective design solutions.
  9. Stay up to date with Discova services, industry trends, and design technologies.
  10. Take the initiative to upskill when necessary to ensure expertise in the latest design tools and techniques.

About You

The Essentials
  1. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in video editing/graphic design or a related field, with a strong recommendation for a relevant design diploma or certification.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role is required, with the ability to present a portfolio showcasing previous work and design expertise.
  3. Demonstrated proficiency in video editing and graphic design is essential, with a deep understanding of design principles and aesthetics.
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of online and offline design requirements, including printing and various video production standards.
  5. Proficient in typography principles, with the ability to select and customize fonts for improved readability and visual appeal in designs.
  6. Professional expertise in industry-standard creative and design tools such as Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop and/or related design software applications.
  7. Aptitude for AI-related software development is preferred but not a pre-requisite.
  8. Full understanding of printing needs and requirements for collateral such as videos and reels, brochures, business cards, flyers, and other offline materials.
  9. A comprehensive portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of design projects and creative solutions.
  10. This position is open to local nationals only.

  6. Skilled at identifying design challenges and devising creative solutions to keep projects on track and aligned with objectives.
  7. Collaborates effectively within a team environment, working alongside colleagues from diverse disciplines to achieve collective goals and deliver outstanding results.
  8. Thrives in fast-paced environments, consistently meeting project deadlines under pressure without compromising on quality.
  9. Personally aligned with and capable of translating Discova’s mission, values, and brand identity into visually compelling designs.
  10. Customer-focused, with the ability to understand and address the unique design needs and objectives of clients and stakeholders.
  11. Willingness to travel as needed.
  12. Fully proficient in Microsoft Office applications and related systems, providing an advantage in executing design tasks efficiently.
