About Our Client

A rapidly growing company with consumer goods and healthcare products is looking to hire a GM Business Unit role to lead end-to-end commercial aspects & grow the business.

Job Description

Business and Financial Strategy Development & Management

  • Design and lead business strategies to achieve target market share, drive revenue growth, and ensure long-term profitability.
  • Identify new growth opportunities by expanding the brand portfolio and product offerings in response to market demands.
  • Align sales and marketing efforts to create a unified strategy that supports sustainable business growth.
  • Lead the development and execution of effective 'go-to-market' strategies.
  • Track and analyse business performance using key performance indicators to ensure strategic goals are met.

Product Development & Innovation

  • Lead the development of new products based on market research and consumer needs.
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to create innovative products that align with the company's overall vision and mission.
  • Ensure product offerings provide strong value propositions that resonate with the target audience.

Branding & Marketing Strategy

  • Drive the creation of marketing and branding strategies that reflect the company's vision as the top choice for its target market.
  • Oversee marketing initiatives aimed at boosting brand awareness, customer engagement, and loyalty.
  • Develop brand positioning and differentiation strategies that effectively capture market share.

Sales & Distribution Strategy

  • Design and implement strategies to grow sales channels, maximizing reach and revenue potential.
  • Set priorities for expanding distribution networks and enhancing partner performance.
  • Track performance metrics to optimise revenue across various sales channels.
  • Manage relationships with Supply Chain and Production teams to ensure product availability in the market.
  • Oversee demand forecasting and inventory management to prevent stock imbalances.
  • Continuously improve production and distribution operations for greater efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 10 years of experience in both sales & marketing roles within FMCG/Consumer Healthcare industries, with a proven track record and core strength in marketing and brand.
  • Combination of experience in FMCG/Consumer Healthcare/Beauty startup and established consumer goods company backgrounds is highly preferable.
  • Strong sales & marketing background with a proven track record in online marketing & e-commerce sales.
  • Experience of building brands/business units from the ground up will be preferred.
  • Young and hungry personality, willing to be hands-on.
