Description and Requirements
Responsibilities
- Develop assembly technology including SMT and Final assembly & packing to improve quality/cost and shorten lead-time.
- Develop the Mfg technology roadmap to enable the Mfg capability to support biz. Ensure new technology readiness includes equipment/process and people competence.
- Work with other engineering teams to harmonize the assembly process by systematic standards.
- Setup a network from a manufacturing engineering perspective, share best practices and implement smart copy in different sites. Drive and lead activities in the Mfg community and share technical roadmap in the network.
- Analyze manufacturing value-added rate and lead cost reduction from an end-to-end viewpoint.
- Lead Mfg technical innovations and advance technology implementation, developing new tech and processes to solve complex problems as an expert in the Mfg field.
- Lead complex/significant projects; develop project management strategy and plan; optimize resources for better project operation.
Work Experience Requirements
- 5+ years of work experience in the manufacturing industry, with tablet or mobile phone manufacturing related experience preferred.
- Rich experience in one of the following backgrounds:
- SMT technology including machine and process capability.
- Assembly technology including machine and process capability.
- LEAN or 6 sigma knowledge and related project experience.
- Multi-function project management skills. PMP certification is preferred.
- International company or overseas onsite support experience is preferred.
Common Capability Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- Fluent English (both spoken and written) is a must; Chinese is preferred.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Strong execution ability and decision-making in challenging environments.
- Positive, proactive, and systematic approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- Capable of working independently and remotely with product development.
