Responsibilities:

1. Conduct geotechnical investigations, including soil sampling and testing.
2. Analyze geological data and prepare reports on ground conditions.
3. Assess slope stability and design excavation support systems.
4. Collaborate with mine planning and operations teams to optimize mine design.
5. Monitor and evaluate ground behavior during mining operations.
6. Develop and implement geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring programs.
7. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
8. Provide technical support for risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
9. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Description:

The Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible for assessing geological and geotechnical conditions to ensure the safety and efficiency of mining operations. This role involves conducting field investigations, analyzing data, and providing engineering solutions to geotechnical challenges in coal mining.
