Geotechnical Engineer Lead

Job Responsibilities:

1. Review and analyze geotechnical reports from clients, including parameters and design specifications, and recommend necessary technical advice if required.
2. Check and monitor reports of slope stability and drain holes to ensure that slope movement calculations are well identified and recorded properly.
3. Develop geotechnical awareness for mine plan engineers and mining operations personnel related to proper processes, implementation, and safe operations.
4. Closely monitor work practices and face locations to ensure that operations are guided through any geological discontinuities or geotechnical complications that may affect mining performance.
5. Maintain and actively implement SHE programs and responsibilities (involving identifying, mitigating, and monitoring SHE risks), including the SHE Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standards, requirements, and procedures applied, and to confirm that the execution of SHE responsibilities meets the intended outcomes.

Job Requirements:

1. Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mining.
2. Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Geologist in the mining industry.
3. Exposure to a variety of mining disciplines.
4. Familiarity with Geology Model and Geotechnics software.
5. Possess good communication skills.
6. Possess excellent analytical skills.
7. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is an advantage.
