Geotech Supervisor

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Mining Engineering
2. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer or 2 years as a Geotechnical Supervisor in the coal mining industry
3. Strong understanding of basic geotechnical concepts, including slope stability and rock mass characteristics.
4. Expertise in developing, validating, and updating geotechnical models
5. Ability to identify potential geotechnical issues and develop effective preventive and corrective actions.
6. Strong understanding of mine design, road construction management, and URCI
7. Capable of clearly explaining the relationship between geotechnical aspects, mine planning, and mining operations
8. Proficient in geotechnical data collection (surface mapping, core drilling) and analysis
9. Skilled in mining software: Minescape, Slide/Phase2, GeoStudio Slope W, and Rockfall
10. Possess POP / POM Certificate
11. Strong critical and analytical thinking abilities, with a creative problem-solving mindset and openness to explore multiple solutions.
12. Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to guide and manage field teams effectively.
13. Knowledgeable in geotechnical analysis for LOM, staging plans, and high-risk activity management
14. Willing to travel if needed
