Description
We are seeking a General Manager – Organic Waste to Fertilizer Business Unit to lead the company’s transformation of organic waste into sustainable, high-quality fertilizer products. This strategic leadership role will oversee large-scale operations, drive business expansion, and ensure compliance with environmental and agricultural regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the end-to-end development and execution of innovative, sustainable fertilizer solutions.
2. Design and implement strategic business plans to expand operations within the waste-to-fertilizer sector.
3. Oversee daily operations of waste processing and fertilizer production, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and sustainability.
4. Manage large-scale investment projects and form strategic partnerships with key stakeholders.
5. Identify and pursue new markets and products through competitive positioning and innovation.
6. Build strong relationships with government agencies, environmental bodies, and investors.
7. Implement cost-effective operational models to maximize profitability and optimize resource use.
8. Ensure strict adherence to local and international environmental regulations and fertilizer standards.
9. Lead marketing, commercialization, and distribution efforts to grow market presence.
10. Monitor financial performance, managing budgeting, revenue growth, and cost control.
11. Promote eco-innovation and circular economy principles through sustainable product development.

Profile
To succeed in this role, you will need:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Agronomy, Business, or a related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
2. 8+ years of experience in waste management, fertilizer, or environmental industries, with 3+ years at managerial/director level.
3. Strong technical expertise in organic waste conversion technologies and fertilizer production processes.
4. Strategic thinker with the ability to design and implement scalable business models for sustainable manufacturing.
5. Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.
6. Solid understanding of business operations, market expansion, finance, and product commercialization.
7. Strong skills in stakeholder management, negotiation, and cross-sector collaboration.
8. Familiarity with national and global regulations related to waste management, environmental impact, and fertilizer standards.
9. Passion for sustainability, innovation, and creating business value through eco-friendly initiatives.
10. Willingness to travel and operate in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
