Garment Production and Quality Specialist

About the Role:

The Garment Production and Quality role involves assessing the factory's quality management system (QMS) to ensure alignment with Boardriders' standards. It also includes conducting on-site evaluations around Java to confirm QMS effectiveness and tracking and improving factory performance metrics.

Responsibilities:

• Assess the factory's quality management system (QMS) to ensure alignment with Boardriders' standards.
• Conduct on-site evaluations around Java to confirm QMS is being maintained effectively.
• Track and improve factory performance metrics, such as FTP, on-time delivery, and claim rates.
• Partner with factories to review seasonal developments, addressing capability limitations, quality issues, delivery risks, and liaising with quality heads and vendor managers as needed.
• Support the vendor management team in tracking WIP, monitoring SMS shipments, and performing quality checks during sample room or bulk production visits.
• Examine factory capacity plans and flag potential concerns to the vendor management team.
• Verify T&A elements (Fabric, Color, Fit, Bulk Testing status) and escalate any risks.
• Help monitor WIP for bulk production and conduct quality checks during production visits.
• Review PP files and tracking lists; join PP meetings for critical/high-risk styles when necessary.
• Carry out inline and final product inspections.
• Report confirmed illegal subcontracting issues to vendor management teams and assist with follow-up actions.
• Train and certify factory inspectors for self-inspection programs while supervising their implementation.

Qualifications:

- A university degree.

Required Skills:

- At least 5 years of QA experience in factories, buying offices, or third-party organizations.

- Familiarity with garment and footwear quality standards.

- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.

- In-depth knowledge of product development and production workflows.

- Strong organizational and planning skills.

- Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Range of salary: IDR 8-14 million
