Job Description

Financing (PayLater) team is responsible for some of the most innovative financial products in our ecosystem, including PayLater and Merchant (Productive) Lending. These products empower users and merchants to access seamless financing options, ensuring a smooth and trustworthy experience across web and mobile platforms (native Android/iOS).

As the Front End Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers in developing high-quality front-end solutions, working closely with backend, product and design teams to ensure excellent user experiences across all platforms. The focus is on technical leadership and engineering excellence, guiding your team to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and aligned with the broader goals of the organization.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Work with product, design, and backend teams to translate business objectives into impactful front-end solutions for web and mobile apps.
• Lead a team of front-end engineers, managing their development through code reviews, design discussions, task breakdowns, and project management.
• Focus on delivering high-performance, scalable front-end systems that serve the needs of PayLater users and Merchant Lending customers.
• Drive recruitment efforts to attract top talent and contribute to building a high-performing engineering team.
• Contribute to and influence engineering excellence within the team and wider organization, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a reputable university.
• Solid proficiency in native mobile apps development (iOS and/or Android), and strong knowledge in mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, MVP, MVI).
• Proficiency in Web development (TypeScript, React, and Next.js) is a plus.
• 7+ years of professional front end development experience (Android/iOS preferred), and 3+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• Fluent in English in both written and verbal communication.
• Excellent in verbal communication, presentation, mentorship skills, influence skills, and shows personal maturity.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Espresso).
