Fresh Inventory Manager

Job Responsibilities

1. Ensure the quality and freshness of fresh products (fruits, vegetables, etc.) across all inventory touchpoints.
2. Conduct regular quality inspections at inbound, storage, and outbound stages to maintain high product standards.
3. Monitor stock levels, turnover rates, and shelf life to minimize waste and prevent stockouts.
4. Develop and implement inventory planning strategies to optimize fresh product availability.
5. Work closely with suppliers to ensure product consistency, timely deliveries, and compliance with food safety standards.
6. Collaborate with merchandising and warehouse teams to align inventory with demand forecasts.
7. Implement best practices for handling, storing, and rotating fresh inventory to reduce spoilage.
8. Track key performance metrics (e.g., spoilage rate, inventory turnover) and provide insights for process improvement.
9. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and cold chain management best practices.

Qualifications

1. 4+ years of experience in inventory management, quality control, or fresh product handling in retail, supermarket, or e-grocery industries.
2. Strong understanding of fresh product quality standards, shelf-life management, and handling best practices.
3. Experience in working with suppliers and negotiating procurement terms.
4. Analytical mindset with experience in demand forecasting and inventory planning.
5. Proficiency in inventory management systems or ERP tools.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
7. Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with internal teams and external vendors.
8. Willingness to be hands-on, including visiting warehouses and supplier locations as needed.
