Freelance English-Sundanese Translator

As an English-Sundanese Freelance Translator, you will be responsible for translating written materials from English to Sundanese with accuracy and cultural sensitivity. This is a part-time, remote position, and candidates must have a high level of proficiency in both English and Sundanese.

Qualifications

• Native fluency in Sundanese
• Proven experience as a translator, with a strong command of both English and Sundanese languages.
• Bachelor's degree in Sundanese Literature, Linguistics, Translation, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in translation software and CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ, etc.) is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Cultural sensitivity and awareness of regional language variations.

Responsibilities:

• Undertaking all duties assigned by Project Managers
• Translate a variety of documents from English to Sundanese.
• Ensure translations maintain the original meaning, style, and tone of the source content.
• Conduct thorough research to understand and accurately translate specialized terminology.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Provide linguistic expertise and cultural insights to enhance the overall quality of translations.
