Job Description - Flow Design Engineer (00951P)

Summarise the purpose of this position to assess its expected contribution to the results of the organisation

This will include his key responsibilities:

  1. Prepares Logistics studies and responsible for Logistics flow deployment projects
  2. Reports solid line to EAJP Logistics & Network Engineering lead
  3. Responsible for all logistics flows and projects from a schedule, quality, cost, and CAPEX (investments, expenses) perspective.
  4. Responsible for ensuring continuity of customer deliveries during all transformation projects
  5. Responsible for coordinating with all stakeholders within the project scopes
  6. Ensure project leaders are following the Schneider Electric Logistics Network Design Policy, guidelines and best practices.
  7. Define the best logistics and transportation process and technology to be used within distribution centers and service providers.
  8. Provide strong support for Logistics cluster lead to ensure all projects are well known and he or she is updated regularly.
  9. For OCP projects, work closely with project teams to ensure the best logistics methods and tax optimization strategy is considered in the decision making.
  10. Participate as a key stakeholder during steering committee meetings for all rebalance and OCP within the cluster.
  11. Provide mentoring and guidance for project leaders in project management, best-known logistics and transportation, and supply chain techniques.
  12. Responsible for designing and managing flow logistics flow changes within the region to optimize logistics lead time and cost.

Qualifications

1. Required skills & knowledge for the position:

  1. Strong project management skills in handling multiple projects simultaneously
  2. Strong experience in planning, logistics and transportation (working in distribution center or managing complex projects transformation in logistics design)
  3. Strong leadership and mentoring skills for project leaders
  4. Understand OCP, industrial, and supply chain processes very well. Can be considered a resource trainer.
  5. 6 sigma knowledge is not necessary but is a plus
  6. People management skills are very important.
  7. Must work within a complex matrix organization structure and collaborate with other cross-functional team members from multiple countries.

2. Required Educational Background & Professional Experience:

  1. 5 years experience and should be expert in at least one industrial trade (Supply Chain, Purchasing, or SC Planning).
  2. Degree in an engineering field with good technical knowledge
  3. Minimum 5 years professional experience (less experience is required for small projects)
  4. Similar job in a different industry is also a good possibility.
