Fleet Business Controller

About the Role

As a Business Controller for Fleet, you will play a key role in establishing and managing financial processes that drive the efficiency and profitability of our fleet operations. In the first six months, your primary focus will be on setting up operational finance processes, building P&L structures, and developing financial models to guide strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for monitoring revenues and costs, implementing cost control measures, and establishing early warning systems to detect financial risks, deviations, and potential fraud. The role presents challenges such as identifying cost leakages, managing risks related to fleet health, and ensuring financial integrity. Your insights will directly influence leadership decisions, contributing to the optimization of fleet performance and overall business growth.

What you will do

• Establish and manage operational finance processes for fleet activities within the first three months.
• Build and maintain P&L structures to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
• Develop and implement cost control measures to optimize fleet-related expenses.
• Create financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making.
• Monitor revenues and expenses, providing regular financial insights to leadership.
• Set up early warning systems to detect financial deviations, risks, and potential fraud.
• Identify cost leakages and inefficiencies, recommending corrective actions.
• Manage financial risks related to fleet health and ensure strong internal controls are in place.

What you will need

• At least 8 years of experience in management accounting, financial controlling, or operational finance, ideally in the fleet, logistics, or mobility sectors.
• Strong background in cost control, financial modeling, and P&L management.
• Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel for data analysis.
• Experience in setting up operational finance processes and internal controls.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide clear financial insights and reports.
• Ability to identify risks, detect potential fraud, and prevent financial leakages.
• Excellent communication skills to present financial data and recommendations to leadership.
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to drive efficiency improvements.
