Financial Analyst, Cost Accounting

Purpose of the role

This position is in the Cost of Sales & Inventory COE (COSI) organization, which performs end to end Cost and Inventory accounting and provides support to our global manufacturing and distribution network. We are a diverse and international team based in Amsterdam, operating in global and dynamic environment.

Main Responsibilities

1. Create and maintain product cost for assigned manufacturing and distribution entities, and support global productivity calculation during annual budget process
2. Analyze and report production results to business partners
3. Review consolidated cost and intercompany profit differences at HQ level
4. Analyze inventory movements, standard revision, and purchase price variances
5. Collaborate with country finance teams, shared service center and HQ teams during financial close, take corrective actions where needed
6. Reconcile inventory related P&L and Balance sheet accounts
7. Participate in process improvement and business transformation projects

Your profile

1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or another related field
2. 3 years of relevant analytical work experience in finance/accounting
3. Experience with SAP and BI tools is preferred
4. Advanced MS Excel and data analytics skills
5. Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory
6. Proactive, team player with enthusiasm to learn
7. Cost accounting and/or experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
8. An Excel test will be part of the selection process
