The Finance Recon Analyst will be responsible for executing the back-end reconciliation process and ensuring that cross-checking existing data and pre-matching between bank and internal reporting are performed. As a Finance and Reconciliation Specialist, you will be responsible for reporting and documentation related to Escrow Account and will be able to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format, and present findings in a clear and concise manner.

What your current role should be like?

  • Finance Operations Expertise: Hands-on experience in reconciliation processes, managing discrepancies, and ensuring accurate reporting, ideally in dynamic, fast-paced environments like startups.
  • Problem-Solving & Collaboration: Skilled in resolving disputes, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and liaising with external stakeholders such as banks or partners.
  • Data Reporting & Analysis: Proficient in simplifying complex financial data and delivering actionable insights. Experience with regulatory reports or dashboards is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of MS Excel, intersystem reconciliation, and familiarity with finance-related tools or software.
  • Proactive & Strategic: Adaptable with a solution-oriented mindset, balancing execution and strategic planning in a challenging environment.
What will you do?

  • Execute the back-end reconciliation process while ensuring that:
  • Cross-check existing data and pre-match between bank and internal reporting.
  • Responsible for reporting and documentation as needed by the Finance Team related to Escrow Account.
  • Display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Investigate any dispute amounts and collaborate with related partners and stakeholders.
  • Manage complaints and disputes and close issues accurately in a timely manner; interact with various involved parties and entities.
  • Involve appropriate internal teams to efficiently handle complaints/disputes related to transactions.
  • Showcase Indepay as a consumer-friendly organization and best service provider.
  • Provide insight to management on offerings through publishing dashboard of queries and complaints periodically.
  • Perform independent controls on regulatory reports and additional controls.
  • Ensure highest standards of customer communication & services.
  • Continuously update with new products and services that are rolled out.
Requirements

What do you have?

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Economy/Management or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Finance and Reconciliation.
  • Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and present findings clearly.
  • Comfortable working in an early stage to growth stage company and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record of success in previous roles, preferably in a Pre series A-B company.
  • A leader who enjoys taking calculated risks necessary for growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and exercise good judgment under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to analyze data.
  • Conscientious and meticulous work ethic, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc.), with an emphasis on Excel.
