Overview

The LCDI (Low Carbon Development Initiative) project at Oxford Policy Management is currently seeking a Finance and Operations Assistant on a fixed-term basis for 6 months with potential for extension.

The position will be located in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Position Summary

The purpose of this role is to:

  • Support the delivery of the Low Carbon Development Initiative Phase 2 (LCDI2) Programme implemented by OPM, by supporting the Finance & Operation team to run the Programme efficiently and effectively.

Key objectives include:

Provide finance and operational support for LCDI2: be responsible for day-to-day project tasks under the supervision of Programme Finance & Operations Manager or the respective Programme Manager. She/he will maintain accurate financial and accounting records in compliance with OPM and Programme policies and assist with financial reporting, bank reconciliations, or other related duties.

Key Qualifications / Experience / Skills / Behaviours

  • Pre-existing right to work in Indonesia, based in Jakarta or in its vicinity (no relocation payments available).
  • Bachelor’s degree (S1) in business administration/general management is preferable.
  • Strong and demonstrable experience on handling finance and administration tasks, such as reserving flights and accommodation, finding and liaising with vendors, etc.
  • Sound knowledge of finance principles (tax compliance is preferable).
  • Excellent numeracy, computer skills especially on Microsoft Excel skill is a must and knowledge on usage of web-based software is beneficial. Key attention to details and accuracy is must.
  • Good English language skills, both spoken and written, and know how to communicate well with the team.
  • Enthusiasm, drive, presence and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work co-operatively and confidently with all stakeholders.
  • Must possess good attitude and ethical behaviours in dealing with all stakeholders.
