Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition specific to manufacturing
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
Research technical accounting issues for compliance
Support month-end and year-end close process
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Provide financial analysis and decision-making support for senior management
Monitor and manage manufacturing costs and profitability
Mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience in the manufacturing sector
Proven experience as a Financial Manager, Accounting Manager, or similar role
Experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Experience with ERP systems; experience with [specific ERP software] is a plus
Excellent analytical skills and a strong attention to detail
