Description -

Perform complex and technically demanding support of Elekta Hardware System and associated Software. The position requires a professional representation between the customer and the company in all aspects of customer relations.

Responsibilities -

1. Conduct servicing in the area of responsibility.
2. Liaison and customer support representative for the local region for service support.
3. Provide phone and email support, technical advice & ECSC support as appropriate to customers.
4. Able to complete all technical responsibilities.
5. Independently perform routine troubleshooting and repairs on the designated modality while working within the escalation procedure.
6. Carry out the Field Change Orders, Safety Checks / Modifications, as instructed by the Elekta Product Supply Centre for the installed systems.
7. Perform routine calibrations and preventative maintenance on their designated modality and secondary modality.
8. Conduct planned maintenance for customers as required.
9. Read, analyze, interpret and follow signal flow on blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
10. Instruct customers in proper use of the equipment.
11. Assist Sales/Customer Service with technical advice.
12. Stay current on all new Elekta products.
13. Submit timely and accurate reports as assigned.
14. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
15. Ability to represent the organization in a professional and positive manner.
16. Uphold Elekta’s philosophy and all policies and procedures by maintaining appropriate controls to assure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of our organization.

Relevant Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies -

1. Associate degree or equivalent experience preferably in Electronics, Physics or an associated discipline.
2. 1-2 years of Elekta Linac field service experience or equivalent systems and strong capability in practice. Possess a good electro-mechanical aptitude.
3. Proficient and qualified to conduct Elekta Linac installations.
4. Completed all relevant Elekta Linac training courses.
5. Ability to troubleshoot/diagnose issues with software and hardware interfaces.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Working knowledge/understanding of all Elekta products and proficiency in assigned product specialties.
8. Ability to effectively interact with customers (via phone and face-to-face).
9. Proficiency in the use of test equipment and hand tools including oscilloscopes and multi-meters.
10. Must have excellent skills in verbal and written communication skills.
11. Be a self-motivated worker, able to interact and communicate well with all levels of the business.
