What you’ll do

We are looking for Senior Subsea Structure Engineer to join our team in Indonesia.

Responsibilities:

1. Assists business development activities by maintaining an up to date personal profile and resume. Builds positive working relationships with external parties such as the customer, suppliers, and contractors. Supports proposals by developing the discipline execution strategy, estimating costs, writing proposal content, and presenting to customers. May be called upon to lead all or part of the technical proposal.
2. Supports the business by communicating team resource loading and skill requirements to a direct supervisor or the Discipline Manager. Ensures the project work is covered for vacation and unplanned absences. Mentors/trains and supports the delivery of training. Assists in the employee performance review process. Facilitates coverage of activities when people leave the team. Encourages knowledge of and compliance with requirements and processes. Works to resolve inter-discipline, vendor, and customer issues. Ensures discipline technical work and team activities meet all health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.
3. Ensures team member adherence to generally accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Supports the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates. Contributes to the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications whenever viable and lawful. Uses local/global standards to support technical excellence. Supports checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments and findings.
4. May participate in project execution strategy and planning. Knows the project and discipline scope/cost/time requirements, assists the team to meet expectations, and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure project success. Implements innovative solutions, technology advances, and methods to effectively deal with working out of sequence. Supports management of project change and progressing for the discipline and works with the Project Management Team to take corrective actions regarding any issues, staffing requirements, scope changes, progressing, or other events that could affect project completion and/or profitability. Plans discipline quality, monitors quality activities, drives and participates in squad checking, recommends improvements, and takes action where required.
5. Gathers data from multiple sources and prepares engineering studies, analyses, calculations, etc. Crafts recommendations and creates final documentation. Determines technical issues, defines alternate solutions, establishes pros/cons for multiple solutions, and makes recommendations through official project documents such as technical queries, technical deviations, etc. Creates final documentation incorporating all relevant information and pursues customer approval. May review similar documentation to assist others and reviews/authorizes work done by direct reports.
6. Seeks input from knowledgeable sources, participates in constructability, operability, and maintainability reviews, and ensures that requirements are incorporated into engineering/design. Works with site personnel to resolve issues.

What you’ll have

1. Senior level position with advanced knowledge and a specialized depth or breadth of expertise, gaining a mastery of a single area or multiple broader areas of specialty, product, and systems. May also lead small groups in projects or teams.
2. Awarded a 4 or 5 year technical degree in science or engineering. Trained in leadership and project execution. Will be actively licensed with a local engineering governing body where required by law.
3. Typically 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry.
4. Has a strong background in discipline work and a competent understanding of regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices. Skilled in estimating project costs and writing proposal content.
5. Familiarity with offshore codes and standards (e.g., API, DNV, ISO) and offshore installation and construction methodologies, including deep water projects.
6. Has strong knowledge of marine engineering principles, including hydrodynamics, soil-structure interaction, and fatigue analysis.
7. Has experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and dynamic analysis for offshore structures.
8. Has excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
9. Has strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare clear technical documentation and reports.
10. Has experience with project management and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
11. Experience working in project leadership. Specialized expertise in one or more areas of regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices.
12. Has capability to perform detailed structural analysis and design for offshore platforms, subsea installations, and other marine structures using industry-standard software and methodologies.
13. Has experience to coordinate the structural engineering aspects of executive-level projects in the oil & gas sector, ensuring that designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements.
14. Able to oversee the design and integrity of subsea structures, including templates, manifolds, pipelines, and risers, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
15. Has experience to conduct load assessments, including environmental loads (wave, wind, current), and ensure that structures are designed to withstand operational and extreme conditions.
16. Knowledgeable to ensure all designs and installations comply with relevant industry standards, local regulations, and safety guidelines (e.g., DNV, API, ISO).
17. Has capability to identify and mitigate risks related to structural integrity and subsea installations, including fatigue, corrosion, and accidental impacts.
18. Has capability to prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and calculations related to offshore and subsea structural engineering, with a focus on detailed engineering for oil & gas projects.
19. Able to provide technical support during project execution, including fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases, particularly for complex oil & gas infrastructure.
