Expression of Interest - Materials Inspector

As a Materials Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting materials and workmanship to ensure conformance with specifications and code requirements.

What you’ll do

The role responsibilities include:

  1. Overseeing the quality control and compliance of materials and equipment procured for oil and gas, renewable/green energy projects. This role ensures that all procurement activities meet the Project Specifications, applicable Codes, established standards, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure conformance with specifications and code requirements.
  3. Select and organize work methods and procedures and may develop routine modifications or recommend improvements.
  4. Conduct inspections and testing of materials and equipment at supplier sites and upon delivery to ensure compliance with specifications. Carry out Shop Expediting activities and follow-up action as per requirement.
  5. Ensure effective implementation and coordination of vendor assessment and inspection activities.
  6. Work closely with procurement, engineering, and project teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.
  7. Implementation of non-conformance, corrective action, and preventive action management processes.
  8. Carry out supplier quality document review, maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and compliance issues; generate reports for management and stakeholders.
  9. Coordinate with Supplier, Customer and plan Shop Inspections & expediting per Project requirements, issue Inspection Assignment to Inspector, Report review and distribution. Attend pre, post award meeting with Suppliers / Contractors. Ensure Non-conformance, Concessions, and Deviations are reviewed and processed per work instructions. Issue Inspection Release per procedure.
  10. Facilitate the implementation of existing and new company processes and capability enhancements across the Project Operations.
  11. Determine areas of potential improvement and, in consultation with the Location Quality Manager and Project Management Team, facilitate the implementation of improvements to address these areas and evaluate the outcomes of the improvements.
  12. Ensure that the customer’s quality management requirements and concerns and the needs of multiple stakeholders are being identified and managed by the Project Team effectively.

What you’ll have

  1. Working knowledge of multi-discipline QA / QC processes.
  2. Knowledge of multi-discipline design methods and inter-discipline dependencies & information flows.
  3. Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in material or equipment inspection.
  4. Prior experience as a QA / QC inspector.
  5. Inspection experience of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Structural Fabrication, Rotating Equipment, Skid mounted Packages, Valve, piping, etc.
  6. Prior experience in the PMC Project is advantageous.
  7. Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Engineering (Mech., Production, or relevant).
  8. Demonstrate behaviour and practices consistent with Managerial, co-worker and community duty of care obligations.
  9. Work with the Project HSE Advisor and the Project Management Team to ensure that all areas of the Project’s operations conform to applicable WorleyParsons, regulatory and contractual HSE obligations.
  10. Competent in relevant Microsoft Office software.
  11. Work as part of a multi-discipline team.
  12. Broad understanding of the QA / QC scene in Indonesia.
  13. Well-connected in the industry.
