Executive Chef

About the role

PT JAY ISLAND GROUP is seeking an experienced and talented Executive Chef to join our team in Nusa Lembongan in Bali. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for leading and managing all culinary operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation and service for our guests.

What you'll be doing

1. Oversee all culinary operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management.
2. Lead and develop a team of chefs, cooks and kitchen staff.
3. Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
4. Monitor food costs and inventory to maximise profitability.
5. Collaborate with management to create innovative and appealing menus.
6. Maintain strict compliance with all health and safety regulations.
7. Foster a positive, productive and collaborative team environment in the kitchen.

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 2 years' experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a high-end hotel, resort or restaurant environment.
2. Proven track record of leading and developing successful culinary teams.
3. Excellent knowledge of a variety of international cuisines and cooking techniques.
4. Strong budgeting and cost control skills.
5. Passion for using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.
6. Exceptional organisational, time management and problem-solving abilities.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
8. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
