Environmental Supervisor

About the role

As the Environmental Supervisor at PT Merdeka Tsingshan Indonesia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company operations adhere to the highest environmental standards. Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing the environmental impact of the company's activities in Morowali, Central Sulawesi. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity to make a tangible difference in the smelter industry.

What you'll be doing

1. Ensure the Company’s compliance with environmental documents, permits, and government regulations related to:
1. Water Pollution Control (PPA)
2. Air Pollution Control (PPU)
3. Greenhouse Gas Projects
4. External Audit Projects
2. Ensure submission of regular reports to Government and Stakeholders in a timely manner.
3. Involved in preparing environmental studies and administration process (PERTEK, RINTEK, etc.).
4. Conduct legal compliance analysis.
5. Ensure the environmental field monitoring & inspection activities are conducted, reviewed, and reported.
6. Ensure awareness related to environmental management are regularly performed.
7. Able to communicate and willing to build good relations with third parties.

What we're looking for

1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related technical major.
2. At least 5 years of proven experience and 3 years in a supervisory position, preferably in chemical industry or metal processing plant.
3. Proficiency in report writing, Microsoft Excel, and presentations is mandatory.
4. Certified PPPA, PPPU, PLB3, are preferred.
5. Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Mandarin is considered as an advantage.
6. Possess strong leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.
7. Excellent teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with diverse departments and stakeholders.
