Engineering Manager – 60MW Solar Power Project

Reports To: Project Director

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee all engineering aspects of a 60MW solar power project, including a floating solar PV plant, 150kV high-voltage transmission line, and substation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary engineering teams, coordinating with contractors, reviewing designs, and ensuring full compliance with PLN regulations, IEC standards, and Owner's Technical Specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the overall engineering activities of the project during design, procurement, and construction phases.
2. Review engineering deliverables from subcontractors across civil, electrical, and mechanical disciplines.
3. Ensure that all engineering designs comply with PLN standards, international codes (IEC, IEEE, ISO), and project specifications.
4. Liaise with PLN and other authorities to facilitate technical approvals and grid connection compliance.
5. Coordinate interdisciplinary engineering reviews (including Floating PV, substation, transmission line, SCADA).
6. Support procurement by reviewing technical specifications, datasheets, and vendor proposals.
7. Manage engineering progress, monitor deliverable timelines, and ensure alignment with the overall project schedule.
8. Identify technical risks and support mitigation strategies throughout project execution.
9. Supervise site engineers and provide technical direction during construction, FAT, SAT, and commissioning stages.
10. Interface with Owner, Lenders’ Technical Advisors, and third parties on technical matters and documentation.
11. Lead technical meetings, generate engineering progress reports, and ensure all documentation is up to date.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering (Master’s Degree is a plus).
2. Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in utility-scale solar and high-voltage infrastructure projects.
3. Minimum 3 years in a managerial or team lead role, preferably in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
4. Strong knowledge of PLN technical standards, interconnection requirements, and permitting processes.
5. In-depth understanding of IEC, IEEE, and other international engineering standards for solar and HV infrastructure.
6. Proficient in engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVSyst, ETAP, StaadPro).
7. Excellent coordination, leadership, and communication skills.
8. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with solar projects.
2. Previous involvement in EPC or Owner’s Engineering roles.
