About the Role
Buckle up and get ready to join us as the Product Manager for our Location Selection pod! In this position, you will play a key role within our Cartography team in Jakarta, with a strong emphasis on enhancing our user experience for customers. As a Product Manager for Navigation Experience, you will be responsible for crafting a seamless navigation and live tracking experience for both customers and drivers. You will work to ensure that the in-app navigation not only supports efficient routes but also provides real-time updates, addressing challenges as they arise on the road.
Your contributions will have a direct impact on the experiences of our customers and drivers using the Gojek app.
What You Will Do
- Lead the strategy and development of Cartography navigation experience products, collaborating with engineering, design, and other teams to launch significant features and enhancements.
- Partner closely with other product teams in Gojek to integrate Gojek Maps data across Consumer, Driver, and Merchant applications, ensuring a top-notch user support experience.
- Gather product ideas and feedback, define requirements, create specifications, and develop workflows, regularly demonstrating progress.
- Foster collaboration with teams across Gojek, including Data Science, AI, Business Intelligence, and various Product teams in Cartography, to drive innovation and identify and prioritize initiatives aimed at improving the accuracy and usability of map data.
- Execute effectively—turn ideas into actionable plans, engage in hands-on implementation, and ensure timely launches of products and features that enhance cartography offerings.
- Understand diverse customer needs and conceptualize flexible solutions that can adapt to various scenarios.
- Maintain a detail-oriented approach, having in-depth knowledge of your team's work, including technical specifications and API details.
- Utilize data insights to identify key issues and target segments, adopting an experimentation-driven mindset in product development.
What You Will Need
- 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in consumer-facing mobile or web applications. Experience as a data analyst or engineer is a plus.
- Familiarity with mapping technologies and navigation systems; skills in OpenStreetMap (OSM) and openly licensed government data are preferable.
- Skilled at working with a wide variety of stakeholders and the ability to excel in a constantly changing and rapidly growing workplace.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex and technical topics to a wide range of audiences.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills with the ability to set and achieve mid-term and long-term objectives.
- A self-starter who loves to understand systems inside out and makes it their mission to deliver quality products.
- A “Can-Do” attitude: A positive attitude and passion for learning in fast-paced environments.
- Data-driven mindset: Skilled in leveraging technical resources and data to inform decisions. Proficient in SQL and basic statistics while recognizing when to step back from excessive metrics.
- Fluent in written and verbal English.
