Job Summary

A Seasoning Flavorist works independently and in project teams to develop winning seasonings for key local, strategic, regional, and global customers. A Seasoning Flavorist continues to develop skills in seasoning creation and design and may support more senior Seasoning Flavorist in IFF on internal and external projects.

How You Will Contribute

• Application and use of Product Experience (PX) data for projects.
• Understanding of GRA, legislation, restrictions, marketing claims, cost targets on projects.
• Works on projects for key local, strategic, and regional customers with commercial success.
• Demonstrates ability to work within a team and win as a team.
• Develops presentation skills for both internal and external.
• Navigates the balance between creative design and project constraints (cost and product performance).
• Competent in seasoning & pre-mix creation and formulation for new technologies and delivery systems.
• Demonstrates excellent taste, discrimination and articulation for ingredients, flavors and applications.
• Develops general understanding of R&D technical approaches and applies understanding to testing methodologies.
• Strong understanding of different application methods, and competent in applying seasonings to various bases.
• Modifies and upgrades current formulations with new innovation tools when transferring from one manufacturing site or country to another.
• Provides expertise input into Category initiatives and proposes new tools to fill gaps via Innovation programs.
• Understands the Seasoning Creation, how it fits into the business and contributes to IFF success.
• Broadens business understanding of other functions: Production, Quality Control, Sales and Marketing and Product Experience (PX).

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Food Sciences, Food Chemistry, Food Technology or any other relevant industry.
• At least 3 years of experience in seasoning formulation and creation.
• Strong communication, presentation, storytelling, and negotiation skills.
• Effective communication skills in English language, both verbal and written.
