Established in 1980, our company pioneered the production of viscose staple fibre (VSF) in Indonesia and was also the first to achieve ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 certifications as well as the OEKO-TEX certification from BTTG, Europe.

The Company's modern plant situated at Purwakarta in West Java, commenced commercial production in 1986 with a modest capacity of 16,500 tpa. Through strategic investments in expansion over the years, today it has an installed capacity of over 200,000 tpa and has become the world's second largest manufacturer of VSF at a single location. The unit manufactures VSF for both textile and non-woven purposes.

Marketed under the brand name Birla Cellulose, the company produces a wide range of VSF in engineered specifications for textile and non-woven applications. The company also produces chemicals like anhydrous sodium sulphate and sulphuric acid. Anhydrous sodium sulphate is widely used in the detergent, glass, textile dyeing, and pulp and paper industries in the domestic as well as overseas market.

Committed to continuous improvement, our company has achieved a high level of operational efficiency and product quality. The company's strong focus on environmental protection is reflected through its investments in a sophisticated state-of-the-art waste-water treatment plant and scientific waste disposal system. This has been duly recognised with the company continuously positioned under the "Blue Category" by the Ministry of Environment, Indonesia, which is a remarkable achievement in the rayon industry.

• Developing manufacturing processes that minimize waste and increase the quality of finished products
• Monitoring and testing processes and products found in all phases of production
• Developing and implementing safety procedures for staff working with hazardous materials
• Designing, planning and implementing the layout of manufacturing equipment to optimize production and decrease costs
• Staying up to date with new and emerging manufacturing processes
• Creating and presenting cost analysis reports to upper management

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Experience with DCS, preferably Yokogawa for a minimum of 2-3 years
