Sr. Data Engineer (Talent Pool)

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our client's team in Jakarta. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and optimization of complex data infrastructure and systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the implementation of scalable data solutions and ensure the availability, integrity, and security of data assets.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration workflows to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources.
• Architect and implement data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts to support advanced data analysis and reporting.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through data validation, cleansing, and profiling techniques.
• Optimize and fine-tune database queries, processes, and data models for performance and scalability.
• Define and implement data security and privacy measures in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues and provide technical guidance and support.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and advancements in data engineering technologies and practices.
• Mentor and guide junior and medior data engineers, fostering their growth and technical development.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering processes and methodologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong background in data engineering and architecture.
• Extensive knowledge of data engineering concepts, best practices, and data management principles.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Expertise in data integration tools and frameworks such as Apache Kafka or Apache Nifi.
• Strong programming skills in at least one language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Deep understanding of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Experience in designing and implementing data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to work on-site in Jakarta.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with data orchestration and workflow management tools such as Apache Airflow or Luigi.
• In-depth knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and metadata management.
• Familiarity with advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques.
• Understanding of data visualization tools and techniques.
• Experience with agile methodologies and working in agile teams.
