Early Childhood Educator based in Surabaya (starting July 2025)

- Develop and execute the preparation, planning and delivery of child-centered learning activities for the child in the class.

- Use a variety of appropriate teaching and caring methods to ensure high quality learning takes place.

- Provide planning documents identifying specific learning objectives, differentiated tasks, special needs, extension and assessment, to the Principal or other authorized officer.

- Be a facilitator in the classroom and take an interactive role with children. Encourage children to take pride in their own environment and show respect and concern for others, benefiting the school as a caring community.

- Be responsible for all aspects of classroom management, e.g., care of equipment with resources well-labelled and accessible. Maintain a tidy, well-organized room.

- Create an interesting and lively classroom that promotes independent learning and aesthetics, ensuring the classroom is neat, tidy, clean, and visually pleasing.

- Collaborate with the Pre-school Director and staff in establishing and developing effective pupil assessment procedures and moderation portfolios.

- Keep appropriate records of achievement for each child in class and provide reports as necessary.

- Build positive links between yourself and parents of children in your care through various ways, including but not limited to in-person discussions and messages. Coordinate parent meetings where appropriate to review children’s progress.

- Guide, motivate, and monitor classroom helpers in carrying out their tasks.

- Participate in the PPP (primary preparation program) for Kindergarten students, currently scheduled 1-2 times a week, one hour each session.

- Complete documentation on time according to its due date, as set on the Termly School Housekeeping Calendar.

- Take part as a committee member for events (such as Christmas, Year End, Halloween, Art Auction, etc.) in school.

- With best effort, achieve the learning goals set by the school for each level and complete our internal checklist form for each student.

- In the situation where force majeure/pandemic has been declared by the government and hybrid or online classes are conducted, a teacher might be assigned to lead two classes.

- Should the school be forced to close by the Government due to pandemic or any force majeure, roles and responsibilities should remain the same.

- Leading two classes or two sessions is possible, depending on the number of students in the school as a whole as well as individual classes.

- Documentation (including but not limited to lesson planning, Home-Based Learning activities, newsletters, summary reports, etc.) will experience changes according to the needs of online learning but must still be completed.

- If Work From Home (WFH) is implemented, working hours must be completed as per agreement.

- One-to-one classes with each and every student will be available during the online learning period.

- Planning and execution of events (maximum of 2 events per term) will be required despite online learning.

- Meetings will still take place during WFH schedules and require mandatory attendance.
